The Dordogne region, dates back to medieval times and is a world unlike any other.
With panoramic views of lush green valleys bordered by high riverside cliffs, tiny castles, winding country lanes,
 medieval villages, and stone roofed cottages, the Perigord scenery is second to none.

The surrounding countryside offers crystal clean air and fertile ground in which truffles, nuts and mushrooms flourish.
 Local farmers breed geese and ducks, and produce the world’s most exquisite foie gras. 
Local vineyards produce globally acclaimed wines and many other regional tipples, like Vin d'Noix 

Belves is a town of some 1500 inhabitants, of course this swells in Summer time 
with travellers eager to enjoy a "real French town" complete with delightful bars, restaurants, boutiques and markets.
 Not just "gift shops" although you will want to explore them too !!
 You can immerse yourself  into the culture and begin to see the world through French eyes. 
Right on your Perigordian doorstep, you’ll discover the surrounding area including the bastide town of Domme,
 medieval, Renaissance and 17th Century attitude in Sarlat and the Riverside town of Le Roque-Gageac.
